Best Chimera Class Setup for Warzone 2
The Chimera was an AR added to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 post-launch, but it quickly became one of the best weapons in the game. You may recognize the Chimera as it is modeled off the Honey Badger from COD Ghosts, and with its deadly mobility, the Chimera acts as a sweet spot between an AR and an SMG. This makes it perfect for long and close-range gunfights. Here’s the best class setup, including perks and equipment.
Best Chimera Loadout for Warzone 2
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Barrel: 6.5” EXF VORPAL
- Laser: VLK LZR 7MW

Not only is the Chimera extremely mobile, but it also features an integrated suppressor, keeping you off the enemy radar. The VLK LZR 7MW is a great addition to the weapon to increase the mobility even more, and the Ravage-8 Stock also adds to this. The 6.5” EXF VORPAL Barrel increases ADS Speed and Movement Speed, while also increasing the Damage Range of the Chimera. This is a perfect fit as it improves the effectiveness of the Chimera in long-range gunfights.
Finally, the 45-Round Mag is essential for squad-based game modes, allowing you to take out multiple enemies without needing to reload. The Optic completes the loadout, and we like the Slimline Pro. However, this is completely down to your personal preference.

Starting off the perks is Overkill. This is an essential perk as it allows you to carry two primary weapons. Given the Chimera’s great ability at all ranges, we recommend pairing it with a Sniper Rifle, as it’s only those extra long-range gunfights where the Chimera falls off.
Double Time improves mobility once again, while Fast Hands allows you to change weapons quickly and reload faster. Ghost is the Ultimate Perk, and it is incredible. Ghost keeps you off the enemy radar, and is perfect in late-game moments.
Drill Charges are without a doubt the best Lethal in Warzone 2, and the Smoke Grenade allows you to change positions with ease, or get out to cover if you need.
